Gloucester hires new accounting manager

Amy Santiago began working recently as the new accounting manager in the Gloucester County Finance Department. Santiago is in charge of three employees and reports to Stephanie Tinsley, the county’s director of financial services.

Santiago handles debt management and grant administration and will help prepare the year-end fiscal reports.

Most recently, Santiago worked five years as finance manager at King’s Creek Plantation, a timeshare resort near Williamsburg. She also worked for eight years as office administrator for Jamestown Management in Williamsburg. Originally from Gloucester, she is a graduate of Gloucester High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Strayer University. She is a member of the Virginia Government Finance Officers Association.

In her spare time, Santiago enjoys playing on a softball team.
