The Gloucester High School varsity girls’ basketball team finished its season at the 5A Regional Tournament Saturday at Bethel High School, falling to the host Bruins, 75-43.
“We played an amazing first half, then came out shell-shocked in the second,” head coach Amy O’Neil shared on social media following the loss. “We are not defined by that second half, we are defined by the blood, sweat, and tears it has taken to put Gloucester girls’ basketball back on the map and being a threat in the Peninsula District.”
Top scorers for Gloucester included Lauren Hall with 14 points and Maria Lisi with 11 points. Other players contributing points included Kenna Keyes and Cody Brown with five points each, Kylie Fisk with four points and Erin Bell and Cali Vickers each scoring two points.
