“A Journey to Abstraction,” a new exhibit exploring the transition from representational to abstract works of Gloucester-based artist Lawrence Hollingsworth, will be the featured show for the month of November at Arts on Main. The opening reception will be held on the first Friday of the month, Nov. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m.

First Friday is open to the public, but reservations must be made with the gallery. Masks will be required. Viewing parties are limited to 35 guests in three time slots, at 5, 6 and 7 p.m.

Each time slot will include complimentary snacks and beverages for purchase. Live music will be provided by Jordan Scott. The event is sponsored by Troy and Theresa Stavens.
