GICLF partners with local businesses on savings book

The Gwynn’s Island Civic League Foundation has launched its spring fundraiser, a Community Savings Book offering discounts to local businesses and nonprofit sales outlets. Funds raised by the sale of the book will directly support Mathews County Public Schools and students, said a press release. Mathews Pharmacy has partnered with the foundation to publish the books, which save customers money while encouraging support of local businesses. There are two savings books with coupons that offer discounts through Nov. 15. Both books include Bay School Community Arts Center, Cattail’s Fine Gifts, Doodlebugs Consignments, Etc. Vintage, Gwynn’s Island Museum, Mathews Grill & Deli, Mathews High School Baseball, Mi Casa Azteca Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, Morningstar Marinas, and Salty Dog Pizzeria in Mathews and Compass Entertainment and Meridian Restaurant in Irvington.
