GHS track opens season

The Gloucester High School track and field team celebrated several top placements during its first Bay Rivers District meet, held March 25 at New Kent High School. Sophomore Hannah Mullis took first place in the girls’ shot put finals with a mark of 40-7.00. Freshman Aryiel Holland placed second in the girls’ 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.06. Also in second place was sophomore Jenna Seaton in the girls’ 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.79. Seaton also placed fourth overall in the girls’ 300-meter hurdles with a time of 52.04. Senior Mohamed Erraji placed fourth overall in the boys’ shot put finals with a mark of 46’2.00”. GHS will travel to compete in its second Bay Rivers District Meet at Bailey Field on April 22 in Yorktown....
