The Gloucester High School swim team competed in the Bay Rivers District Tournament on Feb. 3 at the Hampton Aquaplex, where numerous team records were broken. New team records were achieved by Jacob “Scotty” English, Will Minnich, Blake Walters and Jake Gross in the boys’ 200-yard medley relay; Minnich, Tristan Buswell, Walters and Gross in the boys’ 200-yard freestyle relay; and Gross, Walters, Buswell and Blake Dorris in the boys’ 400-yard freestyle relay. Individually, Minnich broke records in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke. For the girls, Abby Gone Caceres and Moriah Luechauer made their debuts in the 200-yard individual medley.
