The Gloucester High School girls’ and boys’ varsity soccer teams both celebrated wins against Kecoughtan in the past week.
The Lady Dukes defeated Kecoughtan, 4-0, last Thursday on the road. Lilyan Wright scored two goals, while Aubrey Milawski and Alina Laubacker scored one goal apiece. The JV girls also posted an 8-0 win over the Warriors.
The Gloucester boys’ team defeated Kecoughtan, 3-2, last Thursday at home. Gavin Seitz scored one goal in the first half. During the second half, Corey Skay scored one goal and Gavin Blanks scored two points. All three goals were assisted by K.J. Wolford.
The Dukes hosted Hickory Monday night, tying with the Hawks, 1-1, after double overtime. Ryan Williams scored the sole goal for the Dukes during the first half, assisted by Wolford.
