GHS offers financial aid form help

The Gloucester High School counseling department is offering free assistance to high school seniors and their parents who need help completing the mandatory Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Counselors will be available to offer one-on-one online assistance to students and their families in the GHS library from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25. The session is also open to returning college students.

Parents should bring the following information for themselves and their student: U.S. Department of Education Personal Identification Number (PIN); Social Security numbers; driver’s license; 2010 and/or 2011 W-2 forms; 2010 and/or 2011 federal income tax returns.

Also, 2011 untaxed income records, such as social security, welfare or veteran’s benefits; current bank statements and investment records; and alien registration card if you are not a U.S. citizen. For more information, call the GHS counseling office at 693-7688.
