GHS, MHS graduation ceremonies Saturday

Gloucester High School is set to graduate 442 seniors, while Mathews High School is expected to hand diplomas to 90 graduates, during a pair of commencement exercises, both beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The 65th annual GHS commencement program will be at William and Mary Hall on the campus of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, while MHS will hold its 79th annual commencement in the school’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium.

In Gloucester

The Gloucester ceremony will begin with the GHS Symphonic Band performing the processional, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, led by senior Zachary Hartman, commanding officer of the school’s NJROTC program. Key senior chorus members will then perform the National Anthem and the school’s Alma Mater.
