Four members of the Gloucester High School varsity field hockey team received All-Tidewater honors. Junior Charlotte Houtz and senior Peyton Sutton were named to first team, while seniors Ellary Miller and Addy Zabicki received second team distinctions. All four players served as captains and also received first team all-state honors. While winning the third state championship in school history, this was the team’s first state championship in Class 4. Collectively, the team has garnered over 90 post-season awards. Houtz has received many accolades, including her selection as Virginia State Class 4 Player of the Year. She led the Lady Dukes in scoring with 90 points, while also recording 50 assists. During her senior season, she will be working towards leading her team back to the state tournament in her sixth season and hopes to eclipse 300 career points.
