Alumni from the Gloucester High School Class of 2003 will hold its first GHS Alumni Golf Tournament on Monday, May 16, at the James River Country Club in Newport News, with proceeds going to start a scholarship fund for Gloucester High School seniors.

Class alumni have set a $40,000 goal for the scholarship fund. “We are hopeful to meet our goal to celebrate and honor the years after us,” a release stated. “We strive to maintain this scholarship yearly starting June of 2022.”

In addition to the scholarships, a portion of the funds being raised will go to host the group’s 20-year reunion, which will be held on June 17, 2023 at the James River Country Club.

The tournament will begin with registration at 11:30 a.m. at the club house. Play begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. A silent auction will be held at 4:15, followed by a cocktail hour/reception with entertainment from Litt Keys, as well as a food and beverage service.
