Dr. and Mrs. Timothy Gardner of Yorktown, announce the engagement of their son, Austin Lee Gardner, to Shaylen Grace Gaspar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Gaspar of Greer, South Carolina.

Austin graduated from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. He is a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Shaylen is a senior at Furman University pursuing a degree in studio art.

A wedding is planned for Dec. 18, 2021 in Honea Path, South Carolina. Following the bride’s graduation, the couple will reside in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Grandparents of the groom are Jeff and Linda Breaks of Gloucester Point.
