FREDDIE ‘FRED’ LEE WYNDHAM

Freddie “Fred” Lee Wyndham, 71, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015.

Fred was a native of Bonneau, S.C., and a former resident of Gloucester and a Yorktown resident since 1989. He was a Navy veteran and retired from Fort Eustis in 1995 as a Contract Administrator after 30 years of service.

He was a man of honesty and integrity and willing to help neighbors and friends anytime. He had a strong faith and was a deacon and member of Providence Baptist Church. He enjoyed making furniture and square dancing.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy Ann Wyndham, and a son, Ross B. Wyndham and his wife Janet of Gloucester; a sister, Betty L. Patz of Mesa, Ariz.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, in Providence Baptist Church, Hayes. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Following the burial, a reception in Fred’s honor was held in the Union Baptist Church Social Hall, 9254 Guinea Rd., Hayes, Va.
