Former senior Justice Department official to speak in Mathews

Chuck Rosenberg, former acting head of the federal Drug Enforcement Administration with a distinguished career in federal law enforcement, will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of CircleUp Middle Peninsula.

The meeting will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26 at the Mathews Boys & Girls Club building, 498 Church Street.

Rosenberg will speak on the topic of “The Rule of Law: Balancing the Rights, Responsibilities and Accountability of All Citizens and Our Government.”

Prior to running the DEA, Rosenberg served as chief of staff and senior counselor to former FBI Director Jim Comey. He also served as counsel to former FBI Director Bob Mueller. Currently, Rosenberg is affiliated with MSNBC as a legal analyst and commentator and a senior counsel of the firm Crowell & Moring in Washington, D.C.
