A funeral service for Floyd Coleman Johnson of Newport News, was scheduled to be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, in Antioch Baptist Church, Susan. He died June 28, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis L. Sr. and Lillian Bernice Johnson of Mathews; his brother, Randolph Johnson, and a sister, Theresa Hundley.

Survivors include his wife, April Johnson of Newport News; a son, Floyd Johnson of Lancaster; a daughter, Peaches Morrison Byrd of Newport News; four brothers, Curtis and Lawrence of Mathews, Dennis Johnson of Gloucester, and Travis Brownley of Petersburg; five sisters, Sharon Singleton and Yvonne Ball of Mathews, Maxine Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Vera Johnson of Newport News, and Tara Brownley of California; six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. 

Viewing was at the church at noon.

Knight Funeral Home, Mathews, was in in charge of the services.
