The Middle Peninsula Field Day for area farmers will be held Tuesday at several area locations. The program will begin at 4 p.m. at James Farm, located on General Puller Highway in Saluda. After touring fields there, Middlesex Extension agent David Moore said, the group will then travel to the Robert Bland Farm at Cologne to visit fields. Private pesticide applicator recertification will be offered.

After finishing at the Bland Farm, the farmers will head to Nick’s Spaghetti & Steak House, Shacklefords. Dinner will be provided by Extension and agribusinesses, Moore said, and other sponsors are Tidewater Soil and Water Conservation District and local Farm Bureau offices.
