Tom Fauber of Cobbs Creek, has been reappointed to a second 3- year term on the Virginia Department of Health’s Waterworks Advisory Committee (WAC) by State Health Commissioner Karen Shelton.
The purpose of the committee is to review and make recommendations concerning legislative, regulatory, and policy matters related to the Virginia Department of Health’s Office of Drinking Water.
According to a press release, members are required to be experts in the fields of water treatment technologies, public health, water quality, economics, environmental science, public utilities, community development, or industry regulations. They serve at the pleasure of the commissioner.
Fauber has a degree in Applied Science (Biology) and served in the U.S. Army for more than 20 years as a Marine Engineering Officer. He holds a Virginia waterworks operator’s license and is the regulatory compliance manager for the James City Service Authority, where he has been employed since 2005....
