Farewell Angelina to open RFA season

The all-female country group Farewell Angelina is slated to perform in the first live Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts show of the 2021-2022 season, “We’re Back on Track.”

The vocalists, named after the Bob Dylan song, are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25, in the Lancaster Middle School theater, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock.

All songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, the group’s three members are longtime friends who respected and admired one another while they were building solo careers, said a press release. They have performed in such venues as Thursday Night Football, the Kentucky Derby, and festivals in Europe, Indonesia and Malaysia.

The relationship the group shares with its fans won Farewell Angelina the fan-voted “Hot Seat” spot of the Taste of Country 2017 “RISERS” Program by over 20,000 votes.
