Family research online talk to be held Saturday

Middle Peninsula African-American Genealogical and Historical Society of Virginia will hold a virtual meeting at 11 a.m. Saturday. It will feature a roundtable discussion at which participants will have the opportunity to share details about their family research.

Family historians from around the country have traced their roots to Virginia’s Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck, said a press release. This meeting will give those persons a chance to share resources and research techniques.

There will also be an opportunity during the meeting to share surnames and places with other researches. All interested persons are encouraged to access the organization’s surname list and provide the family names they are researching in order to exchange information with other researchers. The list is available at www.mpaagenealogicalsociety.org/surnames.html.

For an invitation to join the virtual meeting, call 804-651-8753.
