‘Eve of the Siege’

Gloucester’s historic Warner Hall provided the perfect backdrop for this past weekend’s Revolutionary War reenactment, titled “Eve of the Siege.” Here, Continental soldiers gather for a meal prior to Saturday’s battle. In the scenario, a British raiding party has descended on Warner Hall by water to gather forage for two fortified posts. Members of the 7th Virginia Regiment, portraying the Gloucester militia, set out to repel the invaders.
