Estuaries Day to be held at York River State Park Sept. 27

York River State Park in Williamsburg will host Estuaries Day on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The park is known for its rare and delicate estuarine environment and guests are invited to celebrate this unique place.
The event includes exhibits from various agencies and organizations highlighting the park’s unique ecosystem. Staff and volunteers will lead hiking and paddling excursions. Self-guided adventurers are also welcome to discover the beauty in the brackish water world. 
“We are excited to bring this event back and showcase all the beauty that York River has to offer,” said York River State Park Manager Charlie Whalen. “We have partnered with the Virginia Institute of Marine Science to share our passion for public lands with the park guests.”
