Emily Virginia Winder, age 99, of Hudgins, Va., passed away on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community in Culpeper, Va.

She was a member of Mathews Baptist Church and Oriental Chapter No. 30, OES.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Hilton Winder.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean Drennan and her husband Arthur of Colfax, N.C.; a grandson, Paul Drennan of West Granby, Conn.; a granddaughter, Leslie Russell of Omaha, Neb.; six great-grandchildren, Megan, Erin, Michael, Conor, Ryan, and Cecilia.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, from 6:30-8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 6 o’clock at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at Mathews Baptist Church, Hudgins. Burial will follow the service at H.C. Smither Cemetery.
