The Ebenezer Church Men’s Choir and musician Joshua Allen will present a concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1, in recognition of Black History Month. The concert is sponsored by the Mathews Museum and will be held at Cobbs Creek Arts Center, 61 Cobbs Creek Lane, Cobbs Creek. The men’s chorus has been in existence for over 25 years, said a press release. Focusing solely on gospel music, it is composed of men ranging in age from 25 to 93 and is led by Herbert Carter Sr., 93, who is president. Carter was one of the original members of the Dynatones, an R&B group that was popular in the region during the 1950s and ’60s. In addition to Carter, members of the group include Kenneth Reed, Kendrick Reed, Terry Reed, Terry Hearn, Morris Thompson, Stanley Dixon, Edwin Billups, Louis Brown, Rickie Burrell, Deacon Hubert Montague, Eric Robinson II, Thomas Davis, Ryan Thomas, J.C.
