Dukes Touchdown Club funds allegedly mismanaged

The Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating the alleged mismanagement of money obtained through fundraising efforts and possible financial crimes involving a member of the Dukes Touchdown Club. In February, Gloucester County Public Schools received a report that funds raised by the Dukes Touchdown Club, an independent athletic booster organization for Gloucester High School football and cheer, were allegedly being mismanaged. Members of the Dukes Touchdown Club were the first to raise concerns about fundraising activities and related expenditures. GCPS Superintendent Dr. Anthony Vladu met with GCSO on March 13 to provide information and formally refer the matter for investigation after the division conducted a preliminary review and internal verification related to the concerns.
