Dukes soccer defeats Heritage, Woodside

The Gloucester High School boys’ varsity soccer team added two more shutout wins to its season record, defeating both Heritage and Woodside over the past week.
The Dukes defeated Heritage, 10-0, last Friday at home. Ryan Williams scored two goals in the first half, both assisted by K.J. Wolford. Wolford also scored twice in the first half, assisted by Max Bell and Brody Sutton. Mason Schmidt also scored for Gloucester.
In the second half, Corey Skay scored twice, assisted by Carter Thompson and Wolford. Tristan Gothreau scored on a Schmidt assist and Bryce Fisher scored on a Logan Hudgins assist. Schmidt scored his second unassisted goal of the night during the latter half of the game.
The Dukes defeated Woodside, 3-0, on the road Tuesday. Skay scored twice during the match, assisted by Wolford and Gavin Blanks. Wolford also scored unassisted.
