DORIS MAE EMERSON SNOW

On May 22, 2016, Doris Mae Emerson Snow, 76, of Gloucester, went to heaven to be with her husband, Floyd O. Snow Jr. 

She was born on May 19, 1940 in Gloucester. She was the daughter of the late Simcoe and Mary Louise Walker Emerson, and was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church. She was a talented seamstress and a private care giver.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steven Snow, and sister, Elva Calhoun.

Leaving behind are her loved ones who were the light of her life: her children, Debra (Bobby) Jackowski, Timothy Snow, Randy (Anne) Snow, Denise (Jay) Gregory; her grandchildren, Chris Hudson, Wade Snow and his fiancée, Erin, Brandi Snow, Shannon Craddock, Crystal Craddock, Nicole Keener, Cody Gregory, Jessica Snow, Lori Snow, Jeffrey Snow, Mark Snow, and Emily Snow; her great-grandchildren, Alexis VanZant, Sophia Rodriquez, Jose Rodriguez Jr., Liam Craddock, and Layla; her sisters, Jeanie (Frank) Deane, Sarah (Keith) Callis; her brothers, Franklin (Bev) Emerson, and Roy Emerson (Buddy); a host of nieces, nephews, and close and dear friends that were more like family.

She loved being with “ALL” of her family. She enjoyed the beauty of her flowers, watching her hummingbirds and other creatures of nature.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the staffs at Gloucester Family Practice, P.C.I., Riverside Regional Cardio Vascular “448”, and Heron Cove 1 at Sanders for their loving care and concern during Doris’ illness.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, from 6:30-8 p.m. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Bellamy United Methodist Church.
