Members from three local conservative groups—Speak Up Gloucester and Mathews of the Family Foundation, the Middle Peninsula Breakfast Club and World Outreach Worship (WOW) Center of Newport News—gathered in the halls of the General Assembly in Richmond on Feb. 10 to have their voices heard by Virginia legislators. The event, “Don’t Tread on Parents,” organized by the Family Foundation, drew widespread participation, with families expressing support for parental involvement in education and a renewed call for lawmakers to prioritize the needs and safety of Virginia’s children.
