Budding artists will paint their favorite pet during Dog Days of Summer: Special Paint Night, to be held on Aug. 29 at Arts on Main in Gloucester. Dog Days of Summer: Special Paint Night will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at Arts on Main in Gloucester.Participants will be able to paint a portrait of their furry pet and support the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society at the same time, since part of the proceeds will be donated to the organization.
The instructor will hand-sketch each pet onto a canvas (from a photo), and those attending will do the painting. They will receive instruction in mixing colors and applying paint. All the painting materials will be provided, including a canvas, brushes, and acrylic paint.
