‘Our Gloucester Artists’ exhibit opens Friday

Arts on Main’s new exhibit, “Our Gloucester Artists,” opens with a reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at the gallery at 6580 Main Street, Gloucester.

The show celebrates the Gloucester Arts Festival by highlighting the talent of artists who call Gloucester home, said a press release. It features a diverse collection of works across painting, pottery, fiber arts, and more, capturing the creativity, character, and artistic spirit of the community.

Each piece in the show is rooted in Gloucester’s culture, landscapes and people, said the release. The works were created by artists Deborah Butler, Don Dransfield, Carolyn Dudley, Averelle Dylan, James Dylan, Janet Griffin, Rick Griffin, Patrice Hobbs, Kathy Klein, Sharon Mason, Harriet McGee, Gayle Merrill, Stacey Posner and Juli Schuszler.

The event is free and open to the public. Live music will be performed by Ami Baker. Light bites will be provided, while beer and wine will be available for purchase.

The show will be on display Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. until Saturday, June 27.
