Digging history

History is all around us. For the children of the Little Lights Child Care and Preschool at Ordinary, all it took was a trip across Route 17, where they were able to take part in an archaeological dig at Woodville School, Gloucester County’s only remaining Rosenwald school. The children participated in a weeklong archaeology camp taught by the Fairfield Foundation. Last Thursday, they boarded the bus to cross Route 17, where they put what they learned into practice, conducting a dig at the former school in search of items of historic significance.
