Dewey Lee Ayers, 68, of Gloucester, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015.

 He was born in Irvin, Tenn., and was the son of the late Charles Walker and Ethel Edwards Ayers. He was employed by Bugs Masonry.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Ayers; children, Tracy and Lora, Warren and Lisa, Paula and John, Madison and Becky, Faith and Ash, Dewey Jr. and Megan, and Michelle and Andrew; his brother, Bernie Ayers; 26 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, from 10-11 a.m. with funeral services starting at 11 o’clock.
