Deltas sweep into 1st place, host playoffs Saturday night

The Deltaville Deltas won the final three games of the regular season over the past week, concluding a seven-game win streak that has propelled them into first place in the Richmond NABA standings.
A road win on Wednesday against the Yorktown Coconuts, a home victory on Saturday against the Virginia Aces, and a road win on Monday versus the Richmond Misfits moved the Deltas to an overall record of 14-2. With a league mark of 11-2, the Deltas finish just ahead of the Richmond River Dogs—Deltaville’s fourth regular season title over the past five seasons.
The Richmond NABA playoff tournament kicks off this weekend, where the top eight teams will square off in a set of single-elimination games. The Deltas will host the #8 seed Caribe Baseball on Saturday night at Deltaville Ballpark, with first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m. In their only matchup this year, the Deltas defeated Caribe, 2-1, on a ninth inning walk-off hit from Kevin Cole.
