DEBORAH ANN MORRIS

Deborah Ann Morris, 40, of Crossville, Tenn., died Feb. 2, 2013 from complications stemming from a three-year bout with cancer.

She was born in Camp LeJeune, N.C., Nov. 19, 1972. A drive vacation specialist with AAA for most of her adult life, both in Knoxville, Tenn. and in Williamsburg, Va., she loved travelling and seeing new places. Her biggest loves, however, were writing, and friends and family.

Throughout her illness, her love and concern for others never wavered, and she was more concerned with their well-being than with herself.

She graduated from Mathews High School in Mathews, Va., in 1991.

She is survived by her parents, James and Linda Morris of Crossville; her brother, James Richard; her sister, Michelle Akers; niece, Rachel D. Akers, and her brother-in-law, Jeffrey Akers of Hudgins, Va.

Services will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Mathews, Va., at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Deborah’s memory can be made at www.sarcomahelp.org.
