The Gloucester Daffodil Club is sponsoring a free hands-on workshop for people who want to hone their daffodil exhibitor skills. It will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, in the Chesapeake Lounge at Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, 7900 Daffodil Lane, Gloucester. 

Topics include choosing and grooming the best blooms, filling out entry cards, interpreting the schedule, and placing exhibits on the show floor. Those attending should bring daffodils from their own gardens if they can. The club will also have daffodils available for practice.

Katherine Mazzocco coordinating this year’s workshop, while Brent Heath of Brent and Becky’s Bulbs will be available to identify any daffodils brought in from participants’ gardens.

Daffodil growers may also choose to participate in a fun piece of Gloucester’s 2024 Daffodil Festival by entering their own blooms in that weekend’s Gloucester Daffodil Show.
