Gloucester Daffodil Club member Nancy Fuchs received the 2023 American Daffodil Society Middle Atlantic Region Leadership and Service Award at the fall Washington Daffodil Society meeting. Since 1993, this award has been presented to a member who has “gone above and beyond planting and showing daffodils, and who exemplifies the goals of the American Daffodil Society.” She was praised for her mentoring of others. Fuchs is a Certified American Daffodil Society judge and is a past president of the Virginia Daffodil Society. She has been the editor of the Gloucester Daffodil Club and Virginia Daffodil Society newsletters and has co-chaired the American Daffodil Society Judges School held in Gloucester. She is currently vice president of the Virginia Daffodil Society and co-chair of the upcoming Virginia Daffodil Society Show in Richmond.
