Culinary grads helps others’ kitchen dreams come true

There is so much to see, discover and learn, and many local and ethnic delectable foods on which to dine, when visiting the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

On a recent visit, while dining at one of the many very good restaurants there, Marina Frisby came to the attention of this writer. A graduate of Johnson & Wales Culinary School (magna cum laude), Marina was working as a waitress to help finance a new traveling vehicle for her business, Lavender’s: Culinary Classes for Kids and Adults. In this spot, she promises, “culinary dreams come true.”

Now transporting equipment in her car she explained, “If I had a mobile unit, it would be so much nicer and I could cover much more territory. That’s what I’m working towards.”
