Crossfit expanding White Marsh gym facility

Crossfit Gloucester is expanding its high performance exercise facility at White Marsh Shopping Center.

 

Bill Strack, who owns the business with his wife Emily, said they plan to open an additional 3,000-square-foot area adjacent to the 4,200-square-foot facility they now lease. “Membership has expanded faster than we anticipated,” he said,” so we definitely need the space.”

 

The addition will provide the gym with more overall space for group fitness classes and for equipment like rowers, stationary bicycles and miscellaneous apparatus used for intensive training like heavy tires, free weights and barbells.

 

Not only are the Stracks working to have the new area ready for use in January, but also plan to add fitness classes for children then. Teens and adults now exercise there, and the new format will add classes for children ages 5-12.
