Gloucester’s Jonathan Kanaday of Kanaday Construction, Inc., recently had a cool side gig as he recovered a two-person Diamond DA20 aircraft off the waters of Gwynn’s Island on June 14. The two individuals aboard the plane, which had made an emergency landing, had been fished out of the water by a VIMS research vessel that happened to be nearby at the time of the accident.
