Concerts By the Bay opens its 2025-2026 season with a concert by Bad Moon Rising, a tribute band performing the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews.
CCR was an American Roots rock band whose sound incorporated southern country and blues rock, producing hits such as “Proud Mary,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Looking Out My Back Door,” “Bad Moon Rising” and more. The band was prolific late 1960s and early 1970s, producing 14 consecutive top 10 singles and five consecutive top 10 albums.
Tickets are $30 and may be purchased online at concertsbythebay.org or at the door. Students are admitted free.Season passes for five shows start at $120 per person and include free admission to Arts Alive in West Point and the Rappahannock Concert Association in Heathsville.
