“Coloring Around Guinea” is now possible for adults and children, thanks to a new book put together by Linda Grow and unveiled Friday at Buck’s Store Museum in Bena. Proceeds from the book, which costs $5, will support the Guinea Heritage Association. Its contents include drawings and photos of landmarks around Guinea. These include drawing by the late Harriet Cowen, whose works were donated to the GHA, and illustrations from a number of sources including Richard Green, Lee Houston, Robin Marshall, the late Mark Sutton, and the Gazette-Journal. Grow, speaking at the book’s introduction Friday, said it gives a view of “all of Guinea.” She got the brainstorm while speaking with Ginny Snowden on a Saturday at the museum, which is open each Saturday. “I love hanging out here on Saturday,” she said. “One of those Saturdays I said, what do you think about a coloring book.” She looked through the multitude of Cowen’s prints which “are just amazing.
