Clay Jenkinson, Lindsay Chervinsky headline Historic Christ Church Speaker Series

One of America’s foremost humanities scholars and one of the nation’s leading presidential historians headline Historic Christ Church & Museum’s 2025 Spring Speaker Series “A Revolution in Liberty: Lexington and Concord to the First Amendment.”
The series is part of the organization’s multi-year commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and America’s founding.
At 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, Clay Jenkinson and Lindsay Chervinsky will join forces for a program inside Christ Church (1735), in Lancaster County, that explores one of the enduring themes in the American experience: the struggle for religious liberty and its enshrinement in the First Amendment. The pair will discuss the history of the First Amendment and Virginia’s unique role in defending freedom of religion.
