The Ware River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons received its first Circle of Caring Sponsorship for $1,000 from Chris and Katie Leigh of Oyster Cove Boatworks and Yacht Brokerage to support the WRCKDS annual Christmas Open House which will benefit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. Not only are the Leighs sponsoring the event, their child, 3½-year-old Spencer, is one of the featured CHKD patients for the event. This is the Ware River Circle’s major fundraising event of the year and it is seeking support from local businesses and presenting sponsors. The group hopes to raise $30,000 for the 30th anniversary of the Christmas Open House tour, which will be held on Dec. 10 at the Inn at Warner Hall.
