The annual Christmas Sing-Along sponsored by Central Village Homemakers will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Central United Methodist Church, Mathews.
The homemakers call this season-kickoff event “our Christmas gift to the community of Mathews.”
After an opening prayer by Central UMC pastor Rebecca Rumburg, singing begins at 3, with the audience taking part in singing carols, between appearances by guest artists. Greg Bane will be master of ceremonies.
Local talent scheduled to appear includes:
Solo performers Danna Ingram, Hunter Owens, Michele Thacker and Greg Bane; and two popular choral groups from Ebenezer Baptist Church at Cobbs Creek, the Ebenezer Women’s Choir led by Marilyn Burrell, and the Ebenezer Men’s Choir led by Terry Hearn and Deacon Herbert Carter.
A social hour with cookies and punch will be held in the church social hall following the music....
