Christmas Comes to Gwynn’s Island, a free family event hosted by the Gwynn’s Island Civic League Foundation with sponsorship by New Point Life Services, will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22.
The Gwynn’s Island Museum and the Civic Center will be decorated for the holidays and offer several photo opportunities for friends and family.
Activities planned include holiday crafts, holiday music by local students and community musicians, hot cocoa, cider and baked treats, and a visit from Santa Claus. Wreaths made by Mathews students and community members will be raffled off. The museum will have new ornaments and merchandise for sale, with 100 percent of proceeds benefitting the Gwynn’s Island Museum.
