Chesapeake Bank serves world’s largest crab cake

Chesapeake Bank brought a taste—and the weight—of the Chesapeake Bay to the heart of Virginia’s capital recently when the community bank unveiled what is believed to be the world’s largest crab cake in celebration of its 125th anniversary as an independent community bank.
Hand-crafted in collaboration with Richmond seafood market Shoreline, the colossal crab cake tipped the scales at over 400 pounds. The oversized seafood sensation measured a whopping 37 inches in diameter and stood 9 inches tall making its dramatic debut at The Diamond just before the Richmond Flying Squirrels’ June 14 game.
