Chesapeake Bank and Chesapeake Wealth Management are name sponsors for the Gloucester Educational Foundation’s annual run/walk.
This year’s event will be a virtual one, with participants invited to do the 5K (3.1 miles) any time between this Saturday and April 10. The deadline to register is April 1 by visiting https://runsignup.com/gcef5k. For more information, email GCPSEDFOUND@gc.k12.va.us.
The name sponsorship provides more than financial support for Gloucester Educational Foundation’s programs. It also reflects the corporate philosophy of community involvement and enrichment of students through mini-grants for additional instructional tools and recognition of excellence in teaching, a Chesapeake release stated.
Chesapeake Bank/Chesapeake Wealth Management has been a sponsor since the first event was held in 2012. In 2017, they became a name sponsor.
