Chesapeake Bank collects items for Meals on Wheels

The Mathews branch of Chesapeake Bank recently collected items for Meals on Wheels, as well as food and other items for Mathews Social Services.
The branch, through donations by staff and customers, had received enough items to provide all 80 Meals on Wheels recipients in the county with a small gift bag to help them celebrate this Christmas season, a release said. The bags will be given out during Meals on Wheels normal delivery service.
Also, the collection brought in baby wipes, toilet paper, shampoos, toothpaste, dish soap and non-perishable food items to fill a dozen large cases, the release said.
