Charlsie W. Gilley of Gloucester, 92, died May 17, 2019 with family at her side. 

She was a devoted and loving mother and family was most important to her. Mrs. Gilley enjoyed music, especially country music. Her memory will live on in our hearts, and she will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Gilley; two sons, Ernest Richardson and Jimmy Richardson, and two infant children, James Ralph and Neva Jo.

She is survived by her children, Louise Jennelle, Sharon Hodges, Jerry Gilley, Sue Graham (Bill), Sandy Booker and Deloris Brooks (Bruce), and Teresa Gilley; daughter-in-law, Jean Richardson; grandchildren, Jimmy Richardson, Ernest Richardson Jr., Tommy Richardson, David Jennelle Jr., Rodney Jennelle, Sheila Jennelle, Ronda Wheeler, Carla Sposito, Brian Blum and Chrissie Shackelford; and great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and special nephew, Jim Fauber.

A funeral service conducted by Pastor Doug Johnson was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Windsor Gardens Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, May 20 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
