A lot has been happening recently at Crazy J’s, a retail business at Hayes Plaza Shopping Center, Hayes.

Owner Joel Canepa said he recently completed converting his store from a consignment business to one selling new furniture and mattresses.

Canepa said the store now is stocked with a wide selection of American-made furniture, featuring bedroom furniture. Popular items include bunk beds, day beds, trundle beds and futons. All-wood dining room furniture is also sold. In addition, the company has expanded its mattress sales in recent months. In addition, Canepa said he recently promoted Jennifer Prince to assistant manager, from a sales associate at Crazy J’s. Prince resides at Wicomico with her two children.

Canepa started Crazy J’s in January 2012. He resides at Wicomico. His wife Marlene owns Wicomico General Store.
