Carroll Goodman Lipscomb, 89, of Gloucester Point, went to his home in heaven on March 25, 2017.
He served abroad in the Air Force and upon his return was an active member in the Gloucester community. Carroll was the proud owner of Lipscomb Equipment, and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He served as a two-time president and zone chairman for the Lions Club, of which he was an active member for 36 years. Carroll loved his church and he loved his family; he will be missed dearly, but his love will forever remain in their hearts.
Carroll is survived by his caring wife, Jennie Lipscomb; sons, David Lipscomb (Ann) and Kevin Lipscomb (Christine); daughters, Sherry Graham (Marty) and Wendy Viola (Luke); nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and pet companion, Jack.
A graveside funeral service conducted by the Rev. Deborah Marion and the Rev. Arthur Wolz Jr. was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. Friends assembled at the cemetery.
